Work With Me (Starting June 2027)

Research support for complex public health and health-system questions

I work with universities, research teams, public institutions, nonprofits, foundations, and mission-driven organisations on projects that need rigorous research, thoughtful analysis, and clear translation of evidence into practice.

Alongside my academic work, I take on selected independent and collaborative projects in public health, research, evaluation, implementation, and knowledge translation (Starting June 2027).

I am particularly interested in work where evidence needs to become usable for programmes, policies, organisations, or the people implementing them.

Research Design & Applied Research

I can support projects from early research questions through study design, data collection planning, interpretation, and reporting.

Examples of support:

  • research-question development
  • study and survey design
  • qualitative and quantitative research planning
  • questionnaire development
  • research protocols
  • ethics and implementation planning
  • interpretation of findings
  • research reports and manuscripts

Implementation & Health Systems Research

I am particularly interested in helping organisations understand what happens between evidence, policy, and implementation.

This may include examining:

  • barriers and facilitators to implementation
  • organisational and system context
  • workforce practices
  • implementation gaps
  • adaptation of guidelines and interventions
  • programme learning
  • stakeholder perspectives
  • sustainability of interventions

Evidence Synthesis & Policy Research

Sometimes organisations do not need another study. They need to understand what the existing evidence actually says.

I can support:

  • literature and evidence reviews
  • policy and programme landscape reviews
  • evidence summaries
  • research briefs
  • policy briefs
  • comparative analysis
  • synthesis of complex research for non-academic audiences

Knowledge Translation & Research Communication

Good research is not automatically useful research.

I work on translating complex findings into outputs that different audiences can actually use.

This may include:

  • technical reports
  • executive summaries
  • policy briefs
  • research presentations
  • stakeholder reports
  • evidence-informed recommendations
  • data storytelling
  • educational resources
  • research dissemination strategies

Research & Programme Coordination

Complex research often requires as much coordination as analysis.

I can support multi-partner projects with:

  • research implementation planning
  • project coordination
  • stakeholder engagement
  • ethics and operational approvals
  • timelines and deliverables
  • partner coordination
  • budgets and grant inputs
  • reporting
  • meeting facilitation
  • implementation tracking

What kinds of projects can we work on?

Ways We Can Work Together

I am open to different types of collaborations depending on the project.

Short Research Assignments

Evidence reviews, research briefs, policy analysis, survey design, evaluation questions, or technical writing.

Project-Based Consulting

Defined research, evaluation, implementation, or knowledge-translation projects delivered over several weeks or months.

Part-Time Research Support

Ongoing support to academic teams, nonprofits, or research programmes that need additional research or coordination capacity.

Collaborative Research

Contributing to research design, implementation, analysis, knowledge translation, manuscripts, proposals, or dissemination as part of a larger research team.

Who I Work With

I welcome collaborations with:

Universities & research teams
Public-health and healthcare organisations
Government and public institutions
Nonprofits and civil-society organisations
Foundations and research funders
International and global-health programmes
Mission-driven organisations working on health and social issues

How I Work

Rigorous

I take evidence seriously, including its limitations. Recommendations should be grounded in what the data can reasonably support.

Practical

Research should recognise the realities of implementation, including resources, systems, workflows, and organisational context.

Collaborative

The people implementing a programme often understand its challenges better than anyone. I value working with researchers, practitioners, decision-makers, and frontline teams.

Clear

Complex research does not have to be communicated in complicated language. I aim to make findings understandable without oversimplifying them.
